The Billie Holiday Theatre

The Well partnered with The Billie Holiday Theatre during the 2024–2025 season to help reestablish the venue as a premier performance space for the Bed-Stuy community. Having operated primarily as a rental house in recent years, the theatre aimed to return to fully produced programming with its first in-house production since the pandemic: Fabulation, or the Re-Education of Undine by Lynn Nottage.

Support from The Well included marketing, budget oversight, rehearsal scheduling, staffing, and full production management from pre-production through closing night. The production was a critical and community success, earning multiple Audelco nominations and securing the award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for Sharon Hope.
